Which Champions Won and Lost with League of Legends Patch 13.3

Following the recent security breach at Riot Games, League of Legends is finally getting back on track with its patch releases. On February 9, the much-anticipated patch 13.3 was deployed, bringing a reimagined version of Aurelion Sol, improved gameplay experiences for Annie and Ahri, and a much-needed balance to champions like Kayle and tank supports who were being overshadowed by the likes of Umbral Glaive and Hail of Blade.

Additionally, in this latest patch, K’Sante, the newest champion in the game, received even more nerfs, while powerhouses like Amumu and Zac were also hit with changes aimed at reigning them in.

If you’re eagerly awaiting the latest developments in League of Legends, Patch 13.3 is sure to quench your thirst for information. With new champions being balanced and old favorites receiving updates, it’s time to see which champions will rise to the top and which will fall into the shadows.

Undoubtedly, the real star of League of Legends Patch 13.3 is none other than Aurelion Sol. This celestial dragon has undergone a major overhaul, bringing him back to his former glory as a powerful and knowledgeable champion. With the release of Patch 13.3, this champion’s pick rate has skyrocketed, jumping from a measly 0.5 percent to an impressive 20 percent, according to U.gg. Although this spike in popularity has made Aurelion Sol somewhat overpowered, it’s possible we’ll see adjustments in future patches to bring him back in line.

On the other hand, Annie, who was marked as a nerfed champion in the patch notes, has surprisingly seen a significant increase in her win rate. Prior to the update, Annie was hovering around a 49 percent win rate, but now, with her improved kit, she boasts an impressive 57.77 win rate, making her one of the strongest champions in the game.

For a while, it seemed that long-range marksmen would dominate the traditional support role in League of Legends. However, Riot Games has come to the rescue of traditional tank supports, equipping them with powerful new abilities that scale with AP, reduced mana costs, and shorter cooldowns, helping them reclaim their rightful place in the game.

Sadly, Zac and Amumu have been declared the losers of League Patch 13.3. The patch notes reveal that Riot has not only reduced their base damage but also nerfed their favorite items, Radiant Virtue and Tenacity. This change will likely push them back into the jungle, but their days of single-handedly winning team fights are over.

Just when players who favored Kassadin were starting to believe that they had found their moment in the sun and would no longer have to face the embarrassment of spamming “FF” in the chat after they died, Riot’s balancing team stepped in to bring their excitement back down to earth. The recent nerfs to his Force Pulse and Rift Walk, combined with the nerf to the Force Pulse cooldown in Patch 13.1b, mean that Kassadin’s win rate will likely decrease and he may once again struggle to compete with the other top champions in the game.
